Cavefires

If this blog is anything, it is about the inherent stupidity of burning things to get energy.

As a species, we started burning stuff in caves a while back and for some reason we still do it in modern society. While this still makes sense in many developing places on the planet, if you're reading this, for you it probably doesn't.

"Hold on a minute," you might be thinking. "I don't live in a cave."

Of course you don't. However you directly or indirectly burn organic matter everyday. Gasoline in your car. Your natural gas hot water furnace. The coal fired plant that powers your electrical grid.

Face it - you're a cave person. You might as well have a club and walk around grunting.

We are surrounded by energy in the form of solar heat and gravity, and it is moronic to acquire energy the way we are doing it now. The earth has petawatts of power available to us. That's billions of billions of watts of power just laying about for us to utilize. Without burning a thing.

It is so stupid in fact to burn things living in modern society, we here at Cavefires declare a "War on Energy Stupidity." Now that it's a war, it's okay to join.
